The application is hosted on Amazon EC2 and the data is recorded in an Amazon Postgres RDS database. The project is being run by LINZ with funding from central government.
Assisted with migration of the Spark door to door sales mobile and reporting application from IBM IaaS to Amazon AWS. After the initial migration, I was tasked with resolving performance issues experienced by field operators using the mobile application.
Successfully migrated the DOC Sea Sketch application from IBM SaaS to Amazon AWS. The application was rearchitected for Amazon AWS following prolonged performance issues on the IBM platform. The migration to AWS also included implementation of monitoring tools to track server health.
For this NZFS project I am the Solution Architect for the capacity planning, high level design and detailed design for on premise and implementation of the Azure based solution. The solution is highly available on both the on premise and cloud based deployments. Design artefacts included Visio/Enterprise Architect diagrams as well as capacity planning outputs.
Eagle was selected as the vendor to design and implement an enterprise GIS platform for the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). I was responsible for the complete Solution Architecture including detailed design, infrastructure sizing and on-premise implementation. The deployment currently being migrated by Eagle to the Microsoft Azure platform.
Atlas was developed by Eagle, for Courier Post, to give a spatial view of courier runs and delivery points nationwide. Atlas replaced the reliance on paper maps and offers the ability to analyse courier runs in more depth than previously possible. Address to courier run allocation is achieved through the application which has markedly improved the quality of their data. I was engaged for the inception and elaboration of the project doing the business analysis, database design and design of the web application.
